Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone - Single Handset System (KX-TG6311S) Reviews
Bought the base set with phone early last year. Superb in all regards, especially compared to a GE phone we had for some years before it failed to recharge (and on which reception was noisy); and then compared to an equally priced make we bought thru Amazon.com which was awful. This Panasonic has been great, now for a year, so much so that we bought a satellite unit we keep on a narrow ledge that separates our dining room from our living room, which we use both for regular phone service and for walkie-talkie-like service between the floors of our 4-levle townhouse.

sound quality - rebel -
The phone has a backfeed sound when you are talking to someone. They can't hear it. Drives me nuts.

The voice quality is great....DECT 6.0 ensures that it does not interfere with my wireless network...however, in this age of cell phones, the address book and other functions on this phone looks like they are from the stone age!
